So we are finally moved in!!! Life has been insane over the past couple of weeks but we made it through. Here is a recap on life the past couple of weeks.

Well the recap starts off on a sad note. My grandfather passed away Sunday October 24th. We spent a lot of time previous, as wells as after, his passing in Macon (where he lived). I miss him so much but the Lord has shown me just how many people we have in our lives that care for us. As sad as we are it has been a time of intense growth.

We left for New York the following wednesday. Andy had to be there for work wednesday and thursday so we thought we would make a vacation out of it and stay at my sister's apartment for the rest of the weekend. Unfortunately I got sick on wednesday night and stayed sick the remainder of the trip. It was not the most fun trip but not completely miserable. We went to a doctor on friday and I was feeling better enough by saturday to go out some. Here are some pictures:

We then had to come home and face the music. When we got home on sunday our apartment was pretty much all packed up already but we still had a ton to do. Just as with my grandfather, we learned ever so clearly just how many people care for us. Our incredible small group helped us move 95% of our belongings on wednesday night. We loaded up 7 cars, including 2 trucks. It was so incredible. Then on saturday we took a couple more last loads and some other friends came to help us paint. We got it done in 2 hours, yeah amazing!!!

So here we are in the new house and loving it. We don't have any pictures yet but we took a video!! It is a whole lot better in person so you should just all come visit soon!!

We started packing this week and it is looking quite depressing. I am actually really proud of myself because I have only cried once, granted we have only been packing for 2 days.

We have a very serious schedule to stick to or we will be in trouble. We get to move in on monday so I hope to have everything

packed by Saturday,
do the walk through on Sunday,
clean the new place monday and tuesday,
leave for New York Wednesday and stay till Sunday
Start moving Monday done by Friday
Clean old apartment and paint sunday and monday
Be ready for walk through at old place monday Nov. 7th

See what I mean, we have to be out by the 7th. We are so blessed to have so many people around us that love us. We have so many helping hands that will make this all possible.

We are surging forward with the strength and wisdom of the Lord guiding us. So everything will be Great!!!!

Sign Me Up

So we are signing the lease today!!!!! I can not believe it but it is actually happening and we have to be out of this apartment and into the new place by Nov. 7th!!! Holy Crap, that is like 3 weeks. Nothing is pack. our current apartment needs to be repainted and cleaned and then our new house needs to be cleaned and all the packing and moving. All this needs to be fitted in around our crazy work schedules!!! Wow life is going to be crazy the next month or so but I am really super excited about it. We met some of the neighbors last night and they were so nice. We are super excited and I will put up pictures as soon as I can take some.

Smyrna here we come!!! (I am still trying to get over being OTP)

The Lord is revealing Himself so much to Andy and I and we are loving it. Rain down, just rain it down!!!

Change Is In The Air

So life is changing and we (mainly me) are trying to see the beauty of it all. Andy always seems up for anything and sees God's joy in all we have to go through which is one of the many reasons I married him. He keeps me from loosing it. He has such a calm spirit. Any way, enough raving about my wonderful husband, we have to move. Yes, we have to leave our beautiful little slice of heaven on the river. Life got a little flipped around and now we are moving. We are praying super hard for wisdom to move to the right place. We found a possible house in Smyrna with a huge backyard but are still looking to the Lord for instruction. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Roxi is her same old crazy self and one of the reasons we need to move. We can not exercise her enough, I am not sure any normal person could (by normal I mean non-Lance Armstrong folk). We need more leash training bad and are looking for the right cost effective place.

I recently got a ticket going downhill in a 35, yes stinkin' coppers did it on purpose, and I am not happy about it. Also our refrigerator decided to stop working this week and now we have and empty fridge and our apartment is not going to reimburse us. I am a little frustrated with "The Man". You know, the one who thinks they can set up speed traps and not pay for their mistakes and not give you enough hours for employees (we have been crazy at work, which could be solved by one more worker in the middle of the day but no). All this comes down to money and them being stingy. So I guess my beef is with money and what it does to people.

Lord save us all from ourselves.

Okay enough of that. Change is upon us and we are looking to Lord for the joy and beauty in it!!! Love you all,

At Long Last

So I go through spurts, but can you blame me. It is just so much more fun to blog when I have adorable pictures of the 2 cutest babies in the world to share. Unfortunately I do not have any to share this time but I need to write about what has happened in life or I fear I may never write again.

Well then not long after the last post I had my first birthday as a married woman. I turned 23 and had the best birthday ever. Andy gave me the most incredible day. I woke up to a frutini filled with all my favorite fruits. It had raspberries, blueberries, mango, and peaches. It was so wonderful and a mint leaf for decoration (he thinks of everything). Then I opened the bedroom door and there were 23 balloons lying on the floor. They were all filled with 23 reasons why he loves me (I know AWWW). Then instead of breakfast at the house we went to flying biscuit YUMM. I of course got calls from everyone in my family and my best friend wishing me happy birthday. Then my birthday present from Andy was my tattoo, which I have been wanting for about 3 years now. We went and got it after breakfast and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. I had myself thinking it was going to hurt so bad I would puke. However, I did not flench, cry or squeez Andy's hand at all (that's right I am toatlly BA). From there we went back to the apartment and hung out at the pool and by the river; we just relaxed. It was very nice. For dinner I thought we were just meeting Andy's sister and brother at Loca Luna but it turned out Andy had invited way more people and I got to celebrate with my best friend and a good friend who I have not seen in way to long (I cried when I saw her). A couple from our small group also joined us. It was so much fun!!! Lastley we went to the melting pot for dessert. As I said it was the best birthday ever!!!!!

Next we got to go to a friends lake house for the 4th of July. We had so much fun. I have never really experienced a lot of lake fun in my years and Andy hadn't since he was a kid so it was a lot of fun for us. We went with some good friends from college with their family and they made us feel right at home. Oh and we had such good food too. Those Dickerson's really know how to take a trip to the Lake.

The next major thing was our 1 year anniversary!!! Unfortunately at 3:00 am Friday 7/9/2010 (the day before our anniversary) Andy woke up with sever stomach pains and we had to go to the hospital. It was extremely non-fun and quite tramatic for both of us (maybe more so fo me). We did not know where the nearest hospital was and had to end up calling an ambulance. Again, no fun. After we left andy felt much better and was able to sleep and still get some work done from home. We still went to the mountain house to celebrate our anniversary (And you can bet that we found the nearest hospital before we made it to the house. We ended up having an amazing weekend. It was so relaxing. Mom and Dad have blackberries growing along the driveway and they are the best, sweetest backberries I have ever tasted!!! We just had a great time and were sorry to see Sunday come.

Since then we have taken a camping trip with Andy's family to Lake Lanier, only to find out why people don't go camping in July. SO HOT!!!! We still had fun with all the kids and playing in the Lake. The Miller kids (Andy's sister's kids) are quite the fishes. We had lots of good quality family time and that is what counts.

Otherwise we have jsut been livin' life. Camille and Stephi got to visit for a couple of weeks but I do not have a single picture from that visit. I know it is hard to believe. It was great to get to see them. We are also going to be taking a trip to Asheville August 14th to see the sweet Julia (of course her parents too) It has been way to long and she has grown up way to much with all her walkin'. You can bet there will be tons of pictures.

Life is good as a newlywed and I still get to claim that I am a newlywed (Idecided) until we are at least married for 5 years. I think part of me will always feel like a newlywed (only in the best ways)!!!!

Lots of time with the babies lately and we have been loving it!!!

Most recently we went to the beach with my whole family and it was so much fun. We got to hang out on the beach, play with the babies and just relax. It was perfect. Here are some good pictures of the babies

We have had a pretty crazy couple of weeks.

Work has been insane but I have made it through and we are heading to the beach tomorrow. (in fact I should be packing, oops)

I will upload pictures of Roxi's birthday next time because I am having issues with my uploading. She had such a good day. She got to play with her cousin Will and got a frisbee which she loves!!!

A week ago my wonderful sisters and sweet nieces came to visit atl. It was so wonderful. I was unfortunately not able to spend as much time as I wanted to because I was working so much but it was still great. It is amazing to see them.

Sleepy Work

So my store manager at Loft is out of town for the next couple of weeks and I have had to pick up extra hours to cover everything. It is really cool to have the added responsibility but I am so tired. MY sweet sisters and nieces (well Niki and Julia will get here on saturday) are here and that is making it even harder because I want to be with them so bad. So I am working 8 hour days and it is pretty strenuous. I have been having lots of back pain when I get off and of course my feet are killing me, but it is the back that worries me. If I could get prayer over the next few weeks that the Lord gives me strength and endurance to make it though I would greatly appreciate it!!! Andy is on a hot streak right now at work. It is awesome to be able to come home and hear about his great days. He is just so darn good at what he does. Roxi is doing well, still quite the monster, but I do think she has calmed down some. I can not believe she will be a year old in 1 week. My baby is growing up. I will upload pictures of her big girl state as I am sure we will get her a new toy for her birthday and take pics of her with it. (I know I am one of those crazy dog owners, it is getting bad).

A Fine Day for a Wedding

Well Dan and Julie got married last Saturday and there was an 80% chance of rain. We all prayed nonstop that the rain would hold off and low and behold not a single drop. It really was a miracle. The weather was perfect and the overcast pictures are going to look gorgeous. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Two weekends ago we shaved Roxi, yes can you believe it. She kind of tuned out like a spotted zebra. Sh absolutely hated it. Andy was holding her down and soothing her with handfuls of peanut butter. Nothing worked. Eventually we just gave up.

Sick and Lonely

So this week has been super long. I have had a yucky cold the better part of the week :(. Andy has been out of town all weekend for his brother's bachelor party. Roxi and I missed him a lot. Also my parents were in Asheville celebrating my sweet Julia's 1 year old birthday!!! And then my best friend went out of town for the weekend. So I was all on my own. But we made it through, with lots of tea, orange juice and tissues. Andy gets home soon and I am super excited. I just decided even if we didn't have anything to exciting to write about I would still update because it is so hard when you get behind. So that was our life this week!!

Okay so I never finished New York but I think it is a lost cause!!! We have done oh so many things since then!! We had our first Thanksgiving and Christmas as a married couple which was incredible. We also took a trip to San Jose in February to visit with Andy's brother and his wonderful family. It was amazing, I got to see Red Wood trees, (which are massive) Sonoma valley, and San Francisco (twice!!!) It has been incredible traveling through life together and getting to experience all these new and amazing things together as a we.

Work is going great. When I posted last I was being considered for a promotion which I got!! I am now an assistant manager type and work about 30 hours per week. It is great because I get enough hours but still have enough time to work around the house. Andy is still loving his job and we are still loving being married so life is good. We are extremely blessed and constantly praising the Lord for all he has given us.

We have found a great church to get involved in and love it.

Roxi is now HUGE. She weighs almost 70 lbs and is shedding like crazy.

It is never too late....

Okay so I know it has been over 2 months but at least I am writing again. Life has been pretty crazy so lets do a recap....

In october we took an incredible trip to New York and got to spend a really long weekend with Stephi, Remi and gorgeous Will...... just kidding I mean Camille. I loved the time with my sweet niece. Watching her learn and grow is so much fun. It took her a little while to warm up to her uncle Andy but she got there!! Here are some pictures.....

Cab ride from airport to hotel!! we left Atl at about 6:45 Wednesday morning and got to New York not long after. He spent the whole day working and it was too early to get into our hotel so I left for my sister's apartment and I got there all by myself (thank the Lord for the Iphone). Camille was sleeping so I could not get a hold of Steph but I had her address plugged it in maps and selected public transit. About 20 minutes later I was at Stephi's door!! I was soo proud of myself and could totally live in New York! So all day wednesday I hung with them and found my way back that night (after getting on the subway going to wrong way) I got some good pizza and waited for Andy to get back. The next morning he was in meetings till about 3:00 so I slept till about 9:00 and then bumbed around the side of town our hotel was on. It was so much fun just to find my way and explore. Then I met him at the hotel to get our bags and we took the subway to Stephi's (yes with all our luggage :( )
Thursday night we went to Time Square and it was insane. We got street food and french fires from McDonalds. They have this area with a bunch of red tables and we found one to enjoy our dinner. We had so much fun!!!

Then we went walking and got to Rockafellar center to discover the rink was already open!!! So you know we had to go ice skating

We had so much fun... It was jsut as romantic as I thought it would be
The nex morning we woke up and went on a walk with Camille and Stephi. We got incredible bagles and then went to the MET!! It was so cool we really loved it but we blew through it so we could get to everything

Then we walked through Central Park (which is HUGE) to get the the Museum of Natural History (yes the one from night at the museum). It wasn't as great as the MET but.....

We got to see DUMB DUMB!!!

We then left there and picked-up lunch at Eli's (this awesome bakery) for us and Stephi and Remi. It was delicious. We rested for about an hour or so and one of Stephi and Remi's friend from New Mexico came to visit them and brought babka which was incredible!!! But we had a lot left to see and do so we had to get on the road.

We went to China town and walked around for sometime and enjoyed a huge bowl of noodles for $1.25!!! It was so much fun and HUGE. We could not believe how big china town was especially compared to Little Italy. We got two slices of pizza and a glass of wine for $6.50 in Little Italy. It was delicious. We enjoyed our time a lot. I also got yelled at for not wanting to pay to much for a purse. We also got taken in to sketchy back rooms for fake fendi, coach prada. It took me a while to relize what all these tiny chinese women were saying to me because they whispering but it was fendi, coach, prada. We actually did get taken down into a basement behind a hidden door and then told to go farther but felt extremely uncomfortable so we left very quickly. And treaded lightly after that.

We then left to take the Staten Island Ferry.
It is free and we rode over during day light to see the Statue of Liberty and came back when it was dark and the city was all lit up. It was perfect and free.

We had so much fun and highly recommend that to anyone

A whole Boat Load of Junk

So it is looking like this will be an every 3 weeks updated blog. Which means I have about a million things to share and not enough patience to write it all out. So here are the highlights:

Expedition Give

3 weekends ago (10/24) Dan, Julie, Andy and I spent the Saturday running around Atlanta fulfilling a sort of scavenger hunt all for charity!!! It was a blast but completely insane!! We had to do a series of task, which were all in code, including: take a picture in front of the MLK memorial,taks in front of any sign with the name Woodruff
on it holding his favorite beverage,
take a picture with a charity license plate
(which they did not give us credit
for because it was not on the list :( )and take a picture with someone that we convinced
to donate $5 to the cause!!

We also had to spread some mulch, run a mini race, make sandwiches, and fill out some questionnaires. We had to do all of this in 5 hours but got extra credit for finishing early, which we did!!!

After Expedition Give Kyle , Lesley Anne and Ciera came over and we all went to dinner at Ted's. Then Lesley Anne and Kyle came back to our house and Rachel came over. We planned with Roxi and some cards.

On Sunday we:

did some training with Roxi

and took a walk and admired our river

I told you so

So I said I was not going to be good at this so you can't get mad. Here is an update about what has been going on. Roxi has grown a lot
Here she is just a day before 3 months old and so so precious (waiting for daddy to throw the
ball). And now...... She is HUGE, just 2 months later. (and developed a lazy eye....... only some of the time)

Other than Roxi growing way to fast things are going really great. I recently quite my job and am now unemployed but that is actually a praise. Andy is still doing incredible at his job and enjoying it. Which is a great combination. We went to the mountains with my parents a couple of weeks back. We took a family photo on the hammock.

She did great until we al got up and tried to leave her on the hammock. She was not so happy about that but as you can see she just decided to chew on it and everything was fine. I really do wish they had doggie pacifiers.

We did one morning later that week to discover that she had been a very naughty puppy....
She had obviously been out all night at a rave and forgot to take off her glow stick necklace. Needless to say she was in very big trouble. But who can resist those sad eyes ;)

Another adventure (which might have come before the mountain trip) was a very wet braves game. Mom, Dad, Andy and I went to a braves game and had a blast. It was a lot of fun although the weather could have been better. We got our tickets off of stubhub and they were great!!!

Our next trip was to the beach with my family and we had a great time!! It was so wonderful to be with the whole family (minus Remi who we missed terribly), especially the babies!!!
Roxi, despite the lab in her and the webbed paws, hates the water. We had to literally force her into the water. "Get me out of here are you people insane?

The only time she went in willingly was in pursuit of Jack, her cousin. She would have done anything to play with Jack, who could not stand Roxi. Jack totally put her in her place a couple of times. So Roxi hated the water and was not a huge fan of getting hosed down, after a long hard day of digging. Needless to say the beach was not her favorite place. She is a homebody. But it was a very nice vacation.The following weekend we went to the mountains (It has been pretty busy in the Homrich household) with our small group. My dad was so wonderful and took care of the Rox dog so we would not have to worry about her. We had such a great time with our new friends. There are 4 couples and we were all married in the last 6 months. It has been great to be able to have others that are going through the same stage in life to talk to.

I unfortunately got sick on the last day of our mountain trip but am feeling much better now. We have an awesome weekend planned, participating in the Amazing race of Atlanta. It is a charity event that I am sure I will explain more about in our next post. And have tons of pictures. Wednesday of next week we are headed to New York!!! Andy has to be there for work so we are making it a long weekend!!! We are super excited and can't wait to share all about it. Until next time,

Welcome to the world of Blog

Hello all things are great with us here in the Homrich household. We are loving married life and feel so blessed to be together. Life has been a little crazy getting everything settled but it is getting there. I am not sure how often we will update this but we will try. I am not sure how to add pictures yet but we will work that out and put some up of our apartment, lives and puppy. We got a great puppy named Roxi and she is a sweetie. Lots of work but we love her.
